bits n pieces

Just a quick note on some of the happenings here lately

- I have started doing some boxing coaching which has been a lot of fun.

- went to a professional boxing card in Nagoya - it was a good day and we went eating and drinking in the afternoon. I don't think any of the contestants weighed more than 57kg.

- I went to the barber last week, my score from him on leaving this time was 2 x 500ml cans of beer

- lunch at school today - salmon, small serve of pumpkin, carrot and green beans, cabbage and bacon soup and 2 slices of raisin bread. I understand everything bar the raisin bread especially as I watched the students eat it with the salmon etc.

Just some bits n pieces.

Fruit for Lunch

As part of school lunch the other day, we (every student and teacher at every school in the area) were given two (2) cherries - no more no less.

What more can I say. (^_^)

School Lunches

At school, I eat lunch with the students, which is good fun. The fact that I eat the same thing as them means that I have tried a greater variety of Japanese food ( including natto) than I would have otherwise tried.

The food is always good and nutritious, but the food combinations that we sometimes get are not what I am used to. Yesterday is a case in point: a croissant, cocoa covered fried peanuts, cubed sweet potato with a sesame dressing, a soup with spaghetti pasta in it, yoghurt and milk. It was a good lunch, just not a combination I would normally put together.
(^-^) which is a Japanese :-)
